North Carolina APCO Chapter Award Winners

Telecommunicator of the Year: Recognizes outstanding call takers, dispatchers, and emergency communications operators. Ideal candidates excel at handling emergencies, prioritizing calls, and using technology effectively.

Line Supervisor of the Year: Honors exceptional supervisors who manage call center teams, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while fostering a positive work environment.

Communications Center Director of the Year: This award goes to directors who lead communication centers effectively, overseeing staff, budgets, and technology while maintaining positive relationships with partner agencies.

Information Technologist of the Year: This category recognizes IT professionals who provide exceptional support for communication center technology, including hardware, software, and network systems.

Radio Frequency Technician of the Year: Honors technicians who excel at installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting radio communication systems, ensuring optimal performance and network reliability.

Trainer of the Year: This award recognizes instructors who develop and deliver exceptional training programs for call takers, dispatchers, and supervisors, enhancing their knowledge and skills.

Communications Team of the Year: This award honors teams of two or more individuals who collaborated on a specific project or incident, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and achieving positive outcomes.

Commercial Member of the Year: Recognizes a commercial member company representative who demonstrates exceptional professionalism, customer service, and a commitment to supporting APCO's mission.

Craig Moser Award: This prestigious award is given to a dedicated NC APCO member who has made significant contributions to improving the chapter and benefiting all members.

Nominees for all awards (except Commercial Member) must be submitted in writing, detailing their achievements and contributions.

Executive board members are not eligible for awards during their term.

Recipients of the Craig Moser Award are inducted into the NC APCO Hall of Honors.
